Very delicious
Peking Duck is a popular dish, can order with Lettuce Wrap and Tofu Soup.
Lobster on rice
Certain staff members are still friendly, others not so great. Quality of the food has gone down for sure, and the last few times I didn't feel too well after eating here.
Picture I included is a “whole Peking Duck”. I’ve gotten more out of a full duck before, and they didn’t even give us any of the meat from it too...all for $48. Totally not worth it. Ordered a bunch of other things, none stood out to me
Lobster rice is the only thing worthy from this place. Good thing is this dish is still good to eat as take out.Avoid dine in service. An ill-manner waitress does't even hide workplace bullying among fellow coworker.Peking duck is dine in only dish. It's not good anymore so save your money.
Food and service are always maintained good.
Hong Kong style flavor, generous portion fried rice. Must try milk dessert.
The lobster sticky rice is delicious. As is the peking duck. They accept cash and visa
Dishes were a bit smaller than usual Chinese places but pretty good food
Try the lobster on sticky rice. The part of town isn't great and the room not very clean. Staff will appear rude and loud to people not familiar with the Chinese style. A place for adventurous connoisseur of Chinese cuisine.
Very expensive. Small portion. Taste decent but can't justify how expensive they are.
Food is good. Prices are very reasonable. Service is pleasant. Parking is iffy. Surprisingly clean and spacious.
Often packed and loud. Come here for quick service, decent food. Turn around is fast, but expect to wait if you come during a rush. Plenty of large tables, but seating is chaotic or based on reservation first and walk in as a secondary
Went with the work gang. Quite casual chinese food. The lobster steamed rice on lotus leaves is very good. It is their signature dish. Must try.
Good Lobster with sticky rice.
We come here often for the wonton in soup or dumpling in soup (can also get the mix or have noodles added)Their dumplings are big, fresh and the soup broth is light and warming for the cold weather. We also like the green beans dish with the soup.We Tried the bbq chowmein (sauce was bland and bbq pork wasn’t crispy and the marinade was plain) and deep fried squid, it was ok (fried squid was soggy)Overall, for the price and quality, I would come again. The staff here was welcoming and friendly.
Went last night for their king crab promo which includes $39+ per pound cooked two ways. We ordered that. Food was great. This review is mainly for the bill. Be careful and look at your bill extremely closely. They charged us $59 for some reason instead of the deal. While this could be an honest error, it’s not crazy to think they meant to sneakily do this. If they get caught, they’ll just say it’s an error. If not, great they get away with it. I’m not saying they did this on purpose but when you go, make sure to check your bill. Also, when we asked the server “if this is correct” she didn’t even look at it. She immediate grabbed the bill and says “she’ll check”. Makes me think she already knew what was going on as they’ve done it before. For what that’s worth.
Super busy all the time and reservations are recommended if you have a large group. Must get their crab and sticky race baked in lotus leaf, marinated duck is pretty good and their deep fried silver fish.
My wife gets food from here. It's great!
We go there for the lobster rice. It was excellent as usual
Lobster sticky rice is delicious! Extra stars for the employees being very respectful of COVID-19 regulations offering hand sanitizer after using the credit card machine and keeping their distance. Thank you.
Everything tasted proper service was legit most definitely will come back
If you want to experience authentic throw-back Chinese dining experience in the 90s, this is the place. This place looks like it’s not been renovated for at least a decade, even the whole neighbourhood surrounds it looks like from another time. Anyways the food is good and that’s what we came here for, so overall it’s okay.
Food is tasty. Price is reasonable. Try their wonton or lobster over sticky rice. Yummy.
Good place for Hong Kong soup of the day, black bean stir fired clams, almond milk dessert and ginger milk pudding! oh tried lobster rice last time but did not persoanlly like it.
This Chinese restaurant is casual and comfort foods. The most famous signature dish is “Glutinous Rice in Lotus Leaf with lobster”.I recommend this menu.
Awesome server and great food
We came here for mid autumn festival dinner with my Husband and mom & brothers. We made reservations 1 week in advance as we knew it was going to be busy. The ambiance: high energy throughout the restaurant with guests talking over each other. We had the famous lobster sticky rice. It was so delicious! The lobster was perfectly cooked and the sticky rice had lobster flavour, yum! The cod fish tasted perfect and sauce was really good, not too salty. Very smooth. As for the beef & vegetable, it was good. Nothing too fancy.I think the last dish was sweet & sour pork chop. It was good, nothing too special. For dessert, they gave us red bean sweet soup. Good taste and consistency. All in all, a good restaurant to go with large families.
We have been going to this place for a while. After 9pm late night meals are well priced and delicious. Lunch meal and take outs are quick and consistent. Staff are efficient and friendly. It is very popular and always busy. Best to reserve for dinner and special holidays.
Amazing place. Comforting staff. Family and enjoyable environment. The food here is amazing. My go-to place.
Good service and good food. the alaskan king crab was done in two styles and done well. the honey sauce pork was tasty and the hint of marmalade was a nice addition. dou miao was cooked to perfection. Nice for Chinese food in downtown VC.
Delicious food, but expect long wait. Service quality just okay. Suggest to make reservation before going.
Ordered the steam lobster with sticky rice, quite tasty, but a little bit salty. If you have more than 4 people may not be enough, should order extra sticky rice. Food serviced quite fast and reasonable price. Service is about average. Street parking and really limited.
Excellent food, good service and reasonable price!
This restaurant has been in the same spot forever and it's one of the few remaining which serve Cantonese-style food. I mean congee, wonton noodles, and fried rice/noodles. The food is above average in taste but portions are small for the price. The fried rice noodles we had was missing the wok-sear which elevates this dish and did not have much beef. The Hokkien fried rice was better but the sauce was a bit bland. The spicy fried beans weren't bad, they were spicy but needed a bit more cooking time to bring out the flavour. The century egg with dried oyster congee is recommended, great flavours and texture from the century egg pieces. Not the best but not bad either. Come visit before this breed of restaurants all disappear.
Very decent place quality of food. Steady business been around for long time. Lobster on sticky rice and wonton soup are the signature dishes.
Very nice food. A little bit expensive. You pay what you get, right?
Very small portion for what they charge. The food was average and service was ok. They gave me a VlP card for 10% discount for next visit but also informed me that l have to pay cash to get the discount! Must not be reporting the sale if you pay cash!
My go to place for lobster! They do it the best!
Food is good but the service is very slow
This place offers a wide variety of Chinese food dishes. Usually the lobster baked rice entree is quite good but during our recent visit, it was only ok. The seafood and vegetables did not taste fresh this dinner.
Get the lobster rice!
Came here specifically for their famous lobster sticky rice dish - it did not disappoint; almost every table ordered one. The rest of the food was good - pretty typical of what you would find at most Chinese restaurants.
Good food, good service, nice environment. Good selection. Can get spicy options too.
Best cantonese/chinese food. You can't go wrong with this place. They make my favorite dessert which is the double steam milk.
Foods always good. Their digital menu by QR code has way more options then regular menu
Good food at a great price and good service
Great place but their portions shrunk
You have to try the lobster sticky rice. There will be one on every table and it is amazing!
They refused to sell Chinese Dobut (油條) alone for take out. Just want to let everyone know of. I came in for 2 pieces of Chinese donuts to go, but forced to order other items to go with it. Miss Cashier gave me a very annoyed face I don't know why. Isn't it a listed item on the menu? 🤐
Lobster was amazing! All the other dishes I had where also very good! Round two! the food was so good! Had the Peking duck Mmmmm and had the lobster again was also very good. Kind of small place and very busy but overall experience was good.
Reservations recommended or go in early (by 5pm)! Their lobster on sticky rice is a hugely popular choice. 2.5lbs+ with rice cost around $85-90.
